I have many happy memories of our time together, and I doubt if he could ever be replaced.
Well I have always had pets, since I was born so I could not imagine life
without them..!
When I was a month old mum bought a red setter called Amber, she was just a puppy so we grew up together, we were close, and Amber was very protective over me, and followed me everywhere.!
Amber acted as if she was a kid, like us, hiding with us under the table when we got told off...lol
We had many a great time together. Although when we were both nine years old, Amber after suffering from cancer, was put to sleep. Which was heartbreaking to my family and me..!
Rambo & Sally
Well after Amber was put to
sleep, Dad said no more dog's.!
But life felt empty without a dog,
so my mum (without dad knowing) went
to the dog's home and came back with
"Sally".
Rambo
Well Rambo was one of Sally's pups whom I claimed for myself...!! Now Rambo was my baby, he followed me everywhere, even to school, everyone knew him...!! Every day we would go to the stables together, he was a very loyal and loving dog, although he would not let anyone near me, which could be annoying at times, but he loved me, so he was just protecting me. Rambo could get very jealous if I gave my attention to anyone else though.! Every night he would sit and wait for me and if I was late or not coming home he would pine, so I hated to leave him. |
Well we had many great times spent together, and he was my best friend, put up with all my moods..(lol).
He wasn't really keen on Scotty, although I think that was because he was a little jealous, but he tolerated him. Scotty on the other hand, hates dogs, but he too tolerated Rambo. When I would go riding on Scotty, Rambo would run alongside.! Basically he went everywhere he could possibly go with me.
Problem time came when I got my first serious b/f,
poor Rambo just did not want to share me..(lol). Although I realise now, he
was a good judge of character..(lol). In time he finally learnt that by
sharing me, he he would get extra attention as he now had my b/f to spoil
him too.
Sadly he too was put to sleep in Sep 96 as he had cancer, and I did
not want him to suffer.
The sad thing is that he never got to see Atlanta
and vice versa, I am sure they would have loved each other.

Princess
Well Princess too was one of Sally's pups. She was the runt of the litter so we had all gotten attached to her, so Prinnie was to stay with us too.
Princess was very loving although very timid
with people she did not know. She loved to
go up the stables with me, as she loved freedom.
Mainly though Princess would just sit and cuddle
you , she strived for love and attention, which
she always got, as she was very cute...!!
She was a "mummies" little girl though, acting as if she could never do any wrong, although she did cause mayhem , when she was in a cheeky mood, but she would hide and poor Rambo or Sally would get the blame...(lol).
Sadly though she too had to be put to sleep as she had been plagued by skin cancer for most of her life, and there was nothing else they could do for her. The house seems very empty without her, it is sad to know that you will not have her sitting on your lap whilst you watch the t.v.!
Although Rambo, Sally and Princess are finally together again, and at peace
